Buller Pass is a nice winter hike where we typically just get to the base of Buller Mountain due to the snow depth. There was nobody else on the trail.
Burstall Pass is not an overly taxing hike but on this day a few cm's of snow, and more in some places, made it like walking on a beach for three and a half hours.
Spencer Creek is always a fun outing but proved more challenging than usual with the fresh snow and only three of the seven of us had snowshoes to pack down the trail.
Old Goat Glacier is always a longer and tougher hike than memory serves me, however is it quite majestic and unique to be able to hike along the edge of a glacier.
