This trail is close to Canmore and on the shorter side with less elevation than most hikes. It's a bit boring as it's in the trees for the majority of the hike with limited views.
Porcupine Ridge is a unique and challenging hike with a creek crossing combined with some scrambles but it has panoramic views once you break out of the trees.
James Walker is a relatively easy hike with some great views of the massive rock walls surrounding the valley and the trail rarely has any people on it.
Rummel Lake is on our regular hike and snowshoe rotation but we had never done it during larch tree season and it did not disappoint along with a first polar dip for Ed and Craig.
