It was fun to escape the Canadian winter for a second time and return to the amazing Sanara resort in Tulum and spend a few days in Playa del Carmen as well.
Commonwealth Creek is generally a fairly leisurely stroll however on this day we encountered waist deep snow in the valley, which made for a great workout.
Our friends Geoff and Lynn invited us to stay at their timeshare in Nuevo Vallarta and we tacked on a few extra days in the quaint village of San Pancho.
We decided to veer off the West Wind Pass trail up Rimwall to get a taste of it. Given the snow that reached waist-deep, we only made it about half way up.
This was our first time hiking Little Lougheed. It was a challenging trail given the winter conditions and as a result we fell 200 meters short of the summit.
